Avengers Assemble

A rare signed and numbered Artist's Proof of this SOLD OUT edition on fine art paper by Alex Ross. Created in 2010 and introduced at  that year's San Diego Comic-Con, these are the last few pieces of this iconic image available.

Alex Ross is acclaimed as one of the leading illustrators in comic art today. His realistic, human depictions of classic comic book characters for Marvel and DC have cemented his position in the pantheon of comic book and contemporary pop culture illustrators.The Avengers’ iconic rallying cry, “Avengers Assemble!” was first shouted by Thor in Avengers #10 and this powerful Alex Ross tableau features many of the original and early Avengers team -- including Black Panther, Hawkeye,  Captain America, Iron Man, The Wasp, Thor, Scarlet Witch, The Vision and looming behind, Goliath. These were, in Alex Ross’ opinion, “the primal Avengers.” 

This artwork was created in a limited edition as a gicleé print in July of 2010.  It was printed with archival inks on premium paper.  Each piece of the edition is numbered and  signed by Alex Ross. It measures 45.4" x 20".
