Dark Carnival

The Los Angeles Times says Ray Bradbury's "Dark Carnival" print posesses "primal energy, blustery twinkle and midnight tremble..." Ray Bradbury's oil painting was created in 1948, around the time of the publication of his first book, the story collection, Dark Carnival. For many years, the original painting was in the collection of Ray Bradbury's longtime friend, the late Forrest J. Ackerman. Photographed from the original art and printed on the finest art paper in an edition of only 200, each personally signed by Ray Bradbury.

Ray Bradbury, one of America's most admired authors, was also an accomplished painter. Art Kandy is proud to offer giclee prints of his original artwork.  His surreal style and primitive innocence is a perfect complement to the often dreamlike and magical prose of his stories.
